id like to know.. does it give u any benifit that i wouldnt usually have.. like can u see ur left and right without turning, or is it just resolution change so it fits with the same picture or chop off the top and/or bottom of the picture to spread it out or somthing?
Title: Re: SCORPY'S SYSTEM
Post by: SCORP on March 02, 2011, 06:44:36 AM
I dont run it because you do seem to loose a little top & Bottom but gain shit loads of sideways vision. Its only a real issue when in a Tank Or APC for some reason you cant see the crosshairs.. BIG issue..

For the record PR is not a eyefinity game hence the problem above. But if & when they roll over to the ARMA II engine eyefinity will definatly be the shit. Its amazing in ARMA & dare I sware on here BF2BC2

I actually just did something similar, managed to grab one of the old artwork PC's from work for $20, has nothing decent in it cept the case. Antec 200 v2.

The rest was Intel core 2 quad extreme, MSI Micro starr ms 7360, X550 XTX.
Not bad for $20, I'll be stripping it this weekend, Not sure what to put in it yet though.

I seen Benno's Coolmaster Cosmos II this afternoon. it would have to be the biggest case I've ever seen..

This thing is massive but very good at the same time.. I also saw the Noctua NH-D14 cooler. This is also ridiculously big it covers half of the motherboard.

I should have taken a picture as its hard to believe how massive this thing is... I might go back to the ZALMAN cooler as the Noctua one is that big it covers the first x16 PCI-E slot on the motherboard. Benn'o has had to use the bottom slot for his NVIDIA

My new eyefinity setup.

Quote
www.gizmodo.com.au

The Reality Deck lines its 12m x 9m x 3m interior walls and ceiling with a total of 416 Samsung LCD displays running at 2560×1440 and powered by an 18-node graphics computing cluster, each with dual hex-core Intel Xeon CPUs, four AMD Firepro V9800 GPUs (each driving six monitors, for a total of 24 monitors and 90MP of visual data per node), 48GB of RAM and 1 TB of local storage. The result: a resolution that nearly matches that of the human eye with 1.5 billion pixels of information and is magnitudes greater than similar multi-panel displays. What’s more, it contains a suite of sensors that feed user information into a state-of-the-art NaturalPoint tracking system and is paired to a user-carried Microsoft Pixelsense table that work in tandem to adjust the image as the user moves about the room. Step closer to a wall to zoom in, turn your head to pan, or step back into the centre of the room to pull out to a panorama. The system is even robust enough to handle multiple users.

Right Finally decided on my new System.. Going to build it up over the next few weeks..

Case: Silverstone Raven RV02-Evolution
Unbelievable case with 3x 180mm intake fans on the bottom & with hot air rising the MB is on a 90deg with the rear facing upwards. Also with HD caddy's like a server with the HDs also mounted vertical so as the cool air can pass right bye. 1x being HOT SWAP but you can purchase other HOT SWAP adaptors for the other slots.

Will be changing this CPU for a i7 3770K & MOBO will have to change for the 1155 socket. Only down fall there is 1155 MOBOs only have 4 RAM slots..

So might be limited to 16G RAM..

Cooling will be a bit more elaborate with a base XSPC 360 Kit (http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=207_160_45&products_id=21058) + some water blocks for the GPU's

Loving the watercooling mate, you running that all through one radiator? If so hows it handle it?
Title: Re: SCORPY'S SYSTEM
Post by: SCORP on September 30, 2013, 03:09:12 PM
Well running that 3dMark 11 benchmark which runs both GPU's at 100% & the CPU all cores at 95% + The temps on the GPUS never went above 53deg & the CPU hovered around 48-50deg.. That's with the CPU over clocked to 4Gig

So I'm very happy with them results. Before the GPU's were running over 80deg with the FANS on 100% Deafening noise.

The radiator is 360mm long & 120mm wide 35mm deep.. It has its own 3 x 120mm fans pulling air up & the case fans blowing air through from the bottom..

& its now no louder than a stock PC maybe even quieter..

A little exy at $249 but with every key being able to be lit in a different colour it will help with ARMA3 and the million keys you need to operate your character.
