Headphones
« on: May 04, 2013, 12:56:54 PM »
Looking to get some new headphones and was seeing what everyone here was running?
Also, recommendations? I don't really know where to start but preferably I want to keep it under the $100 mark

I already have a microphone on my desktop so I don't need a duo. Looking at the one you recommended though and it looks good. What do you mean by mic boost?

I use cheapish gamecon headphones and the sound and comfort is really good
just picked em up from JB HIFI I think the mic might be a bit quiet but maybe i could
turn that up with some tweaking or something of that like

Awesome =))

Still looking at a few. I don't want to buy a headset only headphones so I can use them with my phone. I used to own a pair of Sennheiser's and they were boss.

I'm curious as to what Scorp uses cause that kid is all about audio

This is what I run..

http://www.soundcorp.com.au/akg-headphones-k271-mkii.html

Prob out of your price range but these are very good also & more to your price range...

If your happy using your desk mic then I would steer clear of any headphones that is aimed at gamers or PC's.

The above headphones are professional & of much higher quality than any PC headphones.. The Frequency response will be way better too. Also these headphones have a full range of spares & a detachable lead so if you break the cable no problem.. Also replaceable ear pads.

Cheers Scorp. I did a bit of research on the Sennheiser's and purchased them this afternoon from SoundCorp. Have you bought from there before?
